About Karali

Empowering Organizations, Strengthening Teams, and Driving Meaningful Change

Effective leadership is about fostering collaboration, aligning vision with action, and building systems that create sustainable impact. As an organizational consultant, I work with mission-driven organizations and companies to develop strategic leadership, strengthen team dynamics, and design systems for long-term success.

Early in my career, I founded and led a public high school in New York City, where I built the institution from the ground up, developing its vision, hiring and coaching staff, and creating sustainable systems for leadership and organizational growth. From there, I shifted to large-scale leadership and program development, designing and implementing national training initiatives, capacity-building programs, and strategic frameworks that have impacted thousands of professionals across sectors. My specialized training in Organization Development and Change Leadership from Georgetown University complements this hands-on experience leading system-wide transformation. With a Master’s in Education from The New School and a B.A. in Cross-Cultural Studies from Antioch College, I bring a deep understanding of how people learn, collaborate, and lead effectively. My experience includes building recruitment and leadership development systems, designing frameworks for strategic decision-making, and facilitating major organizational transformations.

My work has taken me across the U.S. and internationally, partnering with leaders in diverse organizational and cultural contexts. I have worked or studied in China, India, Indonesia, Thailand, El Salvador, and France. This global perspective informs my approach to leadership, adaptability, and change management, allowing me to support organizations in developing inclusive and effective strategies.

Whether working with executive teams, nonprofit organizations, or companies navigating change, my approach is deeply collaborative. I apply a systems-thinking perspective, integrating strategic planning with leadership development to help organizations align their people, processes, and mission for long-term success.

Let’s work together to build a stronger, more effective organization, one where leadership is intentional, teams are thriving, and impact is lasting.

Rooted in Experience, Committed to Growth

With deep roots in educational leadership and organizational change, my career reflects a commitment to systems transformation, human connection, and continuous learning. From 2014–2019, I served as New York City Program Director at New Teacher Center, leading a team of 18 and partnering with over 150 schools across the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Manhattan to strengthen instructional leadership and improve outcomes. In 2019, I transitioned into a national consulting role and returned to my hometown in Upstate New York, where I also served on the Board of Directors at Unison Arts Center.

Alongside this professional journey, I have a lifetime of personal development work as both a parallel and support to my work in the world. I’ve deeply studied spiritual traditions, participated in empowerment trainings, and have also delved into aspects of psychology and personal growth through psychotherapy and coaching experiences over 30 years. These experiences continue to inform my approach to leadership, organizational culture, and systems change.

Grounded in equity and systems thinking, I help mission-driven organizations align people and purpose, so leadership can be bold, teams can thrive, and impact can last.
